“It was incredible! Each student shared how they felt when they were new at school. They shared how Allah has made us all special and we should accept one another with our goods and negatives! It’s so heartwarming that most had points that I had not even thought about. They all told me how much taking home the last book and reading to their siblings and parents was such a fun experience for them.

Reading to children stimulates them to think, and when you stop and discuss stories with them you realize that they are very intelligent, and they can teach you more than you know, and that is beautiful.

Nusser is passionate about improving educational standards in Pakistan through engaging children in reading beyond the curriculum. She does this in innovative ways.She is a creative children’s books writer. Her style of writing will encourage children to read books with interest and enjoyment while conveying important messages that enhance their learning.

Nusser Sayeed helped create stories for SABAQ that serve as the basis of our English digital lessons. I found her to be a professional person who set high standards for any work she took on. Her stories for children are creative, joyful and compassionate. I wish her success with GoRead.pk, a story reading initiative for children, much needed in Pakistan.

In the current educational climate there is little room for fun and developing one’s imagination. GoRead.pk is a brilliant initiative. When stories based on our local Pakistani context are shared with children they can relate to them, giving children a sense of belonging.

The GoRead.pk initiative is as mindful, soft and sensitive as it’s founder Nusser Sayeed. She has written stories on topics which children can instantly relate to. She and her team come and tell the stories in a way that kids keep thinking about them and can’t wait for their next visit.
